Ethnobotany Research and Applications

Dear colleagues,

we hope all of you are well!

As you certainly noted, the SCOPUS updates for ERA have been quicker. ERA is also applying for coverage in Web of Science.

While we encourage manuscripts in the language of the country research has been conducted in, and also in indigenous languages, in order to comply with indexing requirements, regular manuscripts must be in English. Thus starting with issue 22/2021, ERA can only accept English language manuscripts for its main sections.

We encourage authors to submit their original manuscript in English, and after acceptance to submit a local language version to the "Repatriation of Ethnobotanical Studies" section.

Authors may also submit bilingual manuscripts, but please note that in step 2 of the submission process only English title and abstract should be entered.

Ethnobotany Research and Applications is an electronic, peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary open access  journal devoted to the rapid dissemination of current research, published by the Department of Ethnobotany, Institute of Botany, Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia.

The journal seeks manuscripts that are novel, integrative and written in ways that are accessible to a wide audience. This includes an array of disciplines (biological and social sciences) concerned particularly with theoretical questions that lead to practical applications. Articles can also be based on the perspectives of cultural practitioners, poets and others with insights into plants, people and applied research.

We encourage manuscripts in the language of the country research has been conducted in, and also in indigenous languages. Authors are also encouraged to submit bilingual manuscripts, rather than simply to translate their original work into English.

BEFORE STARTING YOUR SUBMISSION, KINDLY CONSULT THE AUTHOR GUIDELINES:
