Abstract

El objetivo principal de esta edición especial de Ethnobotany Research and Applications es mostrar la importancia que tienen las palmeras para las comunidades campesinas e indígenas asentadas en las regiones Andinas y Amazonicas de Bolivia y Perú, y de los bosques que las albergan, aportando a la documentación del conocimien to tradicional y favoreciendo a la conservación de los bosques.

The main objective of this special volume of Ethnobotany Research and Applications is to show the importance of palms for campesino and indigenous communities in the Andean and Amazonian regions of Bolivia and Peru by providing documentation of traditional ecological knowledge in order to foster forest conservation.
